Obituary: Gidlof, Jackelyn M.

GIDLOF, Jackelyn M. (Age 90) Jackelyn was born August 14, 1925 in Elmira CA.

The family gathered around her and on November 19, 2015 her Free Spirit flew to be in heaven.

Survived by her husband Kenneth Gidlof; sister, June McDonald (Paul); two daughters, Carolyn Loy, Beverly Mickelson; son, Mark Meyer (Berta).

Eight grandchildren: Jeff Miller (Michal), Jason Miller (Abra), Joel Miller, Anthony Mickelson (Kim), Jed Mickelson (Suzanne), Marci Counts (Will), Shannon Maroney (Brian), Stephanie Meyer.

Ten great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one niece, and two great-nephews.

Loving and Caring Free Spirit.

Independent to her last days.

Devoted caregiver of her husband Ken.

From homemaker and interior designer she traveled through many careers and became an 18 wheel long haul truck driver at the age of 68.

She experienced life to it’s fullest racing stock cars in her 60’s.

Her artistic flair was expressed through her skill in artwork/painting, home decorating, fashion, and life in general.

The love she put into buying gifts for everyone will always be remembered.

After cremation she will be laid to rest with her dad, mother, sister, and Russian family in Santa Rosa, CA.

Her wish was for no service.

In memorial, family and friends will gather on her birthday August 14, 2016 to celebrate her life.
