Same man thought to be behind 2 robberies, Spokane police say
A Baskin-Robbins and a Subway restaurant in Spokane were robbed mid-day Sunday, and police believe one man was responsible for both.
The suspect was described as a short, white male in his 40s with no front teeth, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, Spokane Police said.
The suspect entered the ice cream store at 1925 N. Monroe St. around 11:30 a.m. and demanded money from an employee. He did not display a weapon and fled on foot, police said.
Less than 30 minutes later the Subway at 1902 West Frances Ave. was robbed by a man matching the same description. He ordered a sandwich and demanded money from employees.
Police believe the suspect had an accomplice driving a dark, extended-cab pickup.
Anyone with information on either robbery is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
