Obituary: Lundberg, Roger A.

LUNDBERG, Roger A. Roger A. Lundberg, 65, of Spokane, WA formerly of Newell, Iowa passed away on Friday, November 20th in Spokane.

Memorial services will be held at the Fairways Golf Course, on December 5th at 5:00 PM.

Roger was born on September 4, 1950 in Storm Lake, IA the son of Harold and Joyce Lundberg.

In 1968 he graduated from Newell High School and was active in football, baseball, and golf.

He remained an avid golfer throughout his entire life.

He attended Iowa State University at Ames and later joined the Army and served in Germany.

When he was discharged he moved to Spokane.

He married Catherine Herron on February 18, 1978, and to this union was born one son, Micah Lundberg of Spokane.

They later divorced.

Roger owned and operated Down to Earth Sprinkler in Spokane for many years.

Roger spent his spare time devoted to his adoring granddaughters, or challenging his son to a fierce round of golf.

He is survived by his son Micah (Stephanie) Lundberg of Spokane, granddaughters Sydney and Roslyn of Spokane; mother Joyce Lundberg of Newell IA, Sister Judy (Ron) Woolridge of Newell, IA; and other relatives and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his father Harold, and his grandparents.

He was a loved father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.
