Obituary: Britts, Jody W.

Age 63

BRITTS, Jody W. (Age 63) Jody W. Britts, left us on September 27, 2015 for a better place.

He always said, “I can’t wait for tomorrow, its a new day”.

Jody was tall and had very thick black hair.

His friends and family called him the “Wolfman”.

Sometimes he howled at the full moon!

He played golf, chess, and laughed a lot, often at himself and friends.

He played a variety musical instruments and loved music.

His parents were Patricia and Lloyd Britts; brothers: Daniel Britts and Patrick Baker; and sisters: Cynthia Britts, Corinne Cox, and Sheila Cain.

He grew up on a ranch near Cheney.

He joined the Navy at 18 and served on Kodiak Island, Greece, East Asia and West Pacific Ocean.

He was very proud of his years in the Navy and on Veteran’s Day he dressed in his “Navy Blues”.

Later, he drove long haul truck for years, delivered fuel for a oil company in Cheney, worked at Huntwood and Apollo Spas.

He lived in Greenacres for the last twenty years.

Jody was a good person, hard working, smart and funny.

He cared about his friends and family.

He loved his sweetheart Myrna, and dog Butter.

We will miss him.

A Military Funeral will be held 11:15 AM on October 16, 2015, at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Rd, Medical Lake, WA 99022
