Women’s soccer: Arizona State defeats 18th-ranked Huskies

Whitney Kanavel’s penalty-kick goal in the second overtime Thursday lifted visiting Arizona State to a 2-1 win over 18th-ranked Washington (10-3-1, 3-2-1 Pac-12 Conference) at Seattle.

Washington’s Pascale Dumesnil and the Sun Devils’ Jessica Raybe scored the other goals.
