Obituary: Panagos, Joy Beatrice

PANAGOS, Joy Beatrice The morning of October 15, 2015, a rainbow could be seen in the sunrise.

As if God knew we would need a reminder of His never-ending love.

For it was this day Joy Beatrice Panagos would leave this world to take her seat at the feet of her Heavenly Father.

Her worldly journey would begin January 22, 1928 in Missouri.

Later she would move to Addy, WA and graduate from Chewelah High School.

Meeting her true love in Spokane, Terry Panagos, they would raise and be survived by five children, Barbara Williamson, Robin Panagos, Becky Panagos, Beatrice Shine and Terrence Panagos.

Joy was a talented seamstress, Mom to many and devoted homemaker.

She would spend the last 8 years of her life making great friends, becoming a published poet and being well-cared-for and loved as a resident of Cooper George Senior Living.

Joy is preceded in death by her parents, Lyman and Verda Price; her husband, Terry Panagos; siblings, Doris Finch, Max Price and granddaughter, Stephanie.

Joy is survived by her sister, Patty Lamberson; five children; many grandchildren and even many more great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Joy will be remembered and celebrated on Saturday October 24, 2015 at 2pm.

Service will be held at Journey Church, 900 E. Francis Ave., Spokane, WA.

Memorial gifts will be donated to the needs of Haiti in memory of Joy.
