Obituary: Siers, Barbara Jane

Age 81

SIERS, Barbara Jane On October 14th 2015 our precious Lord took Barbara Jane Siers, affectionately known as, “Bobbie” from our arms into His.

She left with grace and peace.

It was a beautiful moment.

She was 81 years old.

We loved her.

Bobbie was born in Boone, Iowa on February 6th, 1934 and moved to Spokane when she was 12 years old.

She was the third of four children born to Gernie and Cesia Young.

In 1953 she married Richard Siers.

They have been together for 62 years where they raised six children and have left a legacy of 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

She worked in the Business Office at The Crescent in Northtown for over 20 years.

In addition to being a wonderful wife and amazing mother, she loved to crochet, was a wicked Scrabble player, spent hours playing Yahtzee, bingo and doing crosswords with friends and family.

She loved to color with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Margaret McCoy.

She is survived by her husband Dick, their children, Debbi (Jerry) Dick, Rick (Sheri) Siers, Tess (Steve) Wissink, Bunny (Dick) Webster, Joe (Teresa) Siers, Tom (Renee) Siers, sister Jeanette (Gil) Lawson, and brother Tom Young; her loving in-laws and numerous treasured family and friends.

A kind and gentle soul, we are who we are because of who she was.
