Idaho state boys soccer: Lake City advances to 5A semifinals

Lake City edged Boise 2-1 on Thursday to open the State 5A boys soccer tournament at Rocky Mountain High School.

The Timberwolves (13-0-2) will meet Rocky Mountain at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Eagle High in the semifinals.

Juho Reiman scored twice as Lakeland powered past Blackfoot 4-0 to open state play at Brothers Field in Caldwell.

Seth Galbraith also scored for the Hawks, and Cody Callahan had one goal and one assist.

The Hawks (13-2-2) will meet Bishop Kelly at 1 p.m. Friday in the semifinals.

Moscow dropped into the consolation round after a 2-0 setback against Century. The Bears will play Wood River at 10 a.m. Friday in a loser-out match.

Bonners Ferry lost to Community School 6-0 in an opener at Vallivue High School.

The Badgers will attempt to avoid elimination at 10 a.m. Friday against Emmett.
