Obituary: Pavliska, Anne Grayce (O’Dea)

Age 72

PAVLISKA, Anne Grayce (O’Dea) Anne Grayce (O’Dea) Pavliska, of Spokane Valley, WA, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2015 surrounded by her family.

Anne was born on June 8, 1943 in Anaconda, MT to Thomas and Mary Ruby (Healy) O’Dea.

She went 12 years to Catholic school graduating from Anaconda Central in 1961.

She moved to Spokane in 1961, attended and graduated from Kinman Business school.

Following school, she worked two years for the Spokane Sheriff’s department.

She married Galen J. Pavliska on July 11, 1964 and was happily married for 51 years.

She is survived by her husband Gale, three beautiful daughters, Cindy Pavliska-Simmons, Kristy (Craig) Schwendeman, and Trish (John) Cain; six grandchildren, Jacob, Colin, Alex, Joey, Connor, and Abigale; two sisters, Connie Clark and Betty Wryn; one sister-in-law, Mary Pat O’Dea; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ruby; her brother, Tom O’Dea; her nephew, Chuck Clark; and her son-in-law, Dan Simmons.

Besides her faith, Anne considered her family and friends her greatest blessing.

Rosary will be held Tuesday September 8th at Hennessey Funeral Home (1315 N. Pines Rd, Spokane Valley) at 7pm.

Funeral Service will be held at St. Paschal’s Catholic Church (2523 N. Park Rd, Spokane, WA) on September 9th at 1:15pm with Father Joe Bell officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery (211 W. Government Way, Spokane, WA).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Spokane Hospice House South at 367 E. 7th Ave, Spokane, WA 99202.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all at the Hospice House South for the loving care they provided Anne during her final days.
