Obituary: Colburn, Larry Clair

COLBURN, Larry Clair 77 Years of Life A resident of Elk, Washington, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015, at the Royal Park Care Center in Spokane, WA.

Larry is the dear husband of Sharon Falzone Colburn.

They have been married 54 years, and he is the loving father of Bart Colburn.

He enjoyed three grandchildren: Stephanie, Jessica, and Chase Colburn of Elk.

His sister, Sherry Lucas, resides in Houston, Texas.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Clair B. Colburn and Marjorie Buchholz Colburn; and by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Born in Valentine, Cherry County, Nebraska, he graduated from high school and attended the School of Mines and Technology at Rapid City, South Dakota.

He was a carpenter, design draftsman, surveyor, tree farmer and horseman.

He loved to work and train driving horses and built two wheeled carts.

Larry designed and built a cart for handicapped wheel bound drivers, so they could compete in horse shows.

He is a member of St. Mary Presentation Catholic Church, Local Carpenters Union #98, the Washington State Horsemen, Washington State Tree Farmers, and served on the State Fair Board for three years.

Funeral Services honoring Mr. Colburn will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 19, 2015, in Deer Park at St. Mary Presentation Catholic Church, located at 602 East 6th Avenue, with Rev.

Father Kevin Oiland celebrant.

Interment will be at the Elk Cemetery at a later date.
