Obituary: Herrmann, Francis L. “Frank”

HERRMANN, Francis L. “Frank” (Age 81) Surrounded by his family, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather went home to God on September 3, 2015 after a courageous 10 month battle with leukemia.

Frank was born September 22, 1933 in Valley Lee, MD to Charles and Lillian Herrmann, the second of three children.

He served in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Fairchild AFB in between tours to Guam and Greenland.

While stationed at Fairchild, he met Mary Ann Duclos.

Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Spokane and they were married November 30, 1957.

He worked for Rosauers Supermarkets for 34 years, retiring in 1995.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Ann; his three children, Dave (Becky), Cathy Wetherholt (Paul), and Cindy Brewer (Jim); 10 grandchildren, Eric (Sarah), Justine (Jake), Jennifer, Ashley (Josh), Johnathon, Jake, Hayden, Chancy, Journey, and Martti; and one great-grandchild, Ryan.

He is also survived by his sister Agnes Norris (Charles) of Calloway, MD and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles.

A Vigil will be held Monday, September 14, 2015 at 7:00 PM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1104 W. Heroy Ave., Spokane, WA, 99205.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM with reception immediately following, also at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

A private family interment at Holy Cross Cemetery will follow the reception.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
