Obituary: Spaulding, Jesse R.

SPAULDING, Jesse R. Jesse R. Spaulding passed away at his home on July 4, 2015.

He is survived by his sons: Roger, Brett, and Brian, all of Spokane WA.

Born in Helena, MT, on June 28, 1943, he was the son of Harold and Ann Spaulding of Helena, soon after of Spokane WA.

Jesse attended Spokane public schools, graduating from Lewis and Clark High School in 1961.

He started his career as a Meat Cutter, at Greenough’s grocery store and retired from Rosauers, after 23 years of employment as the Manager of the Meat Department.

Jesse was a loving, dedicated, father and was extremely proud of each of his son’s accomplishments and loved spending time with his sons and daughters-in-law, Cybil Spaulding and Penni Spaulding.

When his sons were young, he enjoyed going boating on Coeur d’ Alene Lake over to Harrison Idaho and this boating trip is a beloved childhood memory of his sons.

One of his greatest joys was teaching his boys to ski and spending time at the mountain resorts.

A tradition was formed, that on Christmas day Jesse would take them all on a ski trip.

His sons continue with the tradition to this day.

He also loved watching local high school, college, and professional sports.

Jesse even helped coach his sons sports when they were in their youth.

Later Jesse enjoyed playing golf with his sons, and taking daily walks with his dog.

Wise, loving, hard-working, caring, giving… he was all of these things.

Jesse was beloved by many.

A remembrance of Jesse’s Life will be held at the Park Inn - Park Plaza, Address: 103 W. 9th Ave., Spokane, WA 99204 on Saturday, September 26th from 3:00 - 7:00pm.
