Age 67

WIDMAN, Frederick A.

(Age 67) Entered into rest on September 10, 2015 at his home in Spokane.

He was born in Spokane to parents Edgar and Helen Widman on December 14, 1947.

Fred graduated from Rosalia High School in 1966 and went on and attended Spokane Community College.

He was a life-long resident of the Rosalia area, where he spent his time farming wheat and barley.

Fred married Carol McDowell in 1988 and together they spent 27 wonderful years together.

He was a member of the Rosalia Producers Board, Co AG, a Rosalia City Councilman, Zion Lutheran Church Council Chairman, and St. John Lutheran Church Men’s Association.

Fred enjoyed Blue Mt.

packing, RVing on the Oregon coast; but most of all, he loved his family especially his grandchildren.

Fred will always be loved for the love and care he took of his family.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, Carol Widman; his mother, Helen Widman of Spokane; sisters, Barbara Bothman (Bruce) of Rosalia, Nancy Granlund (Dave) of Ocean Shores, WA; brothers, Don Widman (Elaine) of Priest Lake, ID, John Widman (Jerri) of Rosalia, and Ben Widman (Linda) of Nine Mile, WA; daughter, Katherine Wilson (Tasha) Berkeley, CA; son, Allen Widman (Emy) of Rosalia; daughter, Chanda Lowe (Timothy) of Redlands, CA; son, Marty Binder (Hima) Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Kathleen Henry (Julie) of Spokane, WA; and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Widman.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 14th and Tuesday, September 15th from 9:00 - 8:00pm at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME 4305 N DIVISION SPOKANE, WA.

Graveside service will be held beginning at 1:00PM on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave. After the interment, a Memorial Service will begin at 2:30PM, at St. John Lutheran Church, 5810 S. Meadow Lane Rd., Spokane, WA 99224, with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, family wishes memorial contributions be made in Frederick’s name to the building fund at St. John Lutheran Church.
