Obituary: Mccoy, Lura Mildred (Thompson)

McCOY, Lura Mildred (Thompson) In Loving Memory Lura Mildred McCoy (Thompson) went to be with her two most favorite people ever, her Lord Jesus and husband, J.L.

on Saturday, September 12, 2015.

She wanted to go home for a long time and Jesus finally answered her prayers.

She was born on September 13, 1931 in St. John, Kansas the daughter of Clarence and Beulah (Sutherds) Thompson.

Lura got married to her forever partner, J.L.

McCoy in September of 1949.

Lura and J.L.

have lived in the Chewelah area since the 1990’s.

She was very active in the church and had a group of wonderful ladies to Bible study every week.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L.

McCoy and brother, Merrill Thompson.

Lura will be missed by her brother, Eddie Thompson; sister, Sharron Thompson; children, Rick McCoy and wife, Sylvia of Deer Park, WA, Richard McCoy and wife, Jennifer of Chewelah, WA, Debbie Cook and husband, Rory of Thompson Fall, MT, Bobbie McCoy of Chewelah, WA Ron McCoy and wife, Vicky of Chewelah, WA, Becky Jensen and husband, Harmon of Whitstran, WA, Cheryl Merrill of Orient, WA; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mrs. McCoy will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Colville Assembly of God, 516 E. Glen Ave., Colville, WA 99114 with the graveside service to follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, Spokane, WA.
