In Brief: CenterPlace Event Center celebrates 10 years
SPOKANE VALLEY – CenterPlace Regional Event Center is turning 10 years old this month.
There will be a celebration from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at CenterPlace, 2426 N. Discovery Place, featuring a short program about the center, as well as refreshments, tours and live music.

Al-Anon group presents Sept. 23
SPOKANE VALLEY – Local Al-Anon members will share their experiences at a “When You Love an Alcoholic” presentation from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Spokane Valley Library, 12004 E. Main Ave.
The event is organized by Washington Area Al-Anon Family Groups and it includes a short video about the organization and a question-and-answer session.

Valley Partners seeks donations
SPOKANE VALLEY – The new career clothing room at Spokane Valley Partners, 10814 E. Broadway Ave., is seeking donations of professional clothes appropriate for job interviews.
Men’s and women’s clothing, including suits, dress pants, shoes, ties, belts, purses, jewelry, tops and skirts may be dropped off at Spokane Valley Partners between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on any weekday, and at the Trading Company on Sprague Avenue and Haggen in Liberty Lake before Sunday.
