Obituary: Jensen, Walter Andrew

Age 87

JENSEN, Walter Andrew (Age 87) Walt was called to our Father in heaven on September 19th, 2015.

Walt was born March 17, 1928 in Heglar, Idaho, and was raised on the family ranch.

At a young age, Walt set out on the adventures of his life.

First he moved to Burley, ID to attended high school.

After high school he honored our country and family by enlisting in the army and fighting in the Korean War.

When he returned from the war, Walt went back to continue his education at Idaho State University.

Upon graduation, Walt and his family moved to Boise where he went to work for Vocational Rehabilitation for the state of Idaho.

In 2001, after both Walt and Leora had retired from the state of Idaho, they moved to Post Falls, Idaho.

The love of being a cowboy never left Walt.

Getting together with his friends from Heglar for riding horses and hunting was something he dearly loved and looked forward to.

Walt was a proud member of the Mason’s, Shriners, and VFW and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He leaves behind his wife, Leora Jensen; brother, David Jensen; sons, Lawrence Jensen, Mark St.Amand, David St.Amand; daughters, Vikki (Jensen) James, Jeanne (St.Amand) Sigmon; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The family will have an informal gathering for family and friends at Denny’s restaurant in Post Falls on Friday, September 25th between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
