As a lifelong resident of Spokane, he attended Arlington Elementary and Rogers High School.

Ray was an avid golfer and a member of the Wandermere Men’s Club where he enjoyed many rounds of golf - and the 19th hole.
He was a talented builder of intricate radio-controlled model boats and a member of the Spokane Model Boat Club.
Ray was an active and distinguished member of the Eagles Aerie #2.
He spent every Sunday afternoon playing cribbage, participating in the pool league and enjoyed the occasional game of poker.
Ray was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Sally, and his sisters Maxine and DonaLee.
He is survived by daughters Rena of Grass Valley, CA and Cathy (Jim) Price of Spokane; grandson Kevin (Stacia) Price of Kirkland, WA and several nieces and nephews.
Known for his fun-loving spirit and wry wit, Ray will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.
He met all his recent challenges head-on with a cheerful, fearless attitude.
He lived a long, love-filled life and left this world with no regrets.
We were blessed to have him in our lives and he will be fondly remembered.
The family would like to thank the staff of Holy Family Hospital for making Ray’s last days comfortable and making him feel so cared for.
A Celebration of Life in Ray’s honor will be held at the Eagles Aerie (6410 N. Lidgerwood St.) on Friday, September 25 at 4:00.
(Ray always did enjoy a good party).
At Ray’s request, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Eagles Building and Maintenance Fund or the Eagles Cancer Fund.
