Obituary: Lindeman, Edmund J

Age 78

LINDEMAN, Edmund J (Age 78) Former resident of Spokane, Edmund J Lindeman, died September 23, 2015 at his home in Rancho Mirage, CA.

After battling cancer for two years, Ed passed with his daughters at his side.

Ed Lindeman was born on March 27, 1937 in Bellingham, WA to Edith and John Olaf Lindeman.

Ed was a proud University of Washington ‘62 Alumni, yet early on he married a Washington State Cougar, Kathy (Bixler), with whom he had his only children, Jill and Mollie.

After divorcing and remarrying, Ed moved to Seattle working until his retirement after 35+ years at Pacific Northwest Bell.

His later years were spent doing what he loved best - golf.

Living in Rancho Mirage, CA, and playing with a consistent handicap in the single digits, Ed played almost daily as long as he was able.

Ed was a guy’s guy and a straight-shooter with close friends describing him as honest and truthful - whether you liked it or not!

Ed is survived by his daughters, Jill Lindeman of Los Angeles, CA, and Mollie Sweat of Spokane, WA, and his brother, Jack Lindeman of Belfair, WA.

At his request, no service will be held.

Donations can be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Rancho Mirage or a charity of your choice.
