Obituary: Whelham, Katherine Laura
Age 75
Katherine was born on March 30, 1940 in Spokane, WA and later moved to Montana and North Dakota only to return to Spokane, WA where she lived out the rest of her days.
She was a graduate of North Central High School, Class of 1958.
After high school, she received her Cosmetology degree from Ester’s School of Beauty.
Katherine had a sparkling personality and lit up every room she graced.
She had a way of making people feel so special, whether they knew her or not.
She was a lover of people and animals, especially her family and her doggies, Foxy Kay and Guido.
Katherine enjoyed gardening, interior decorating and travel.
Her true passion was her family.
Words cannot describe the legacy of love she has imparted to her children and grandchildren.
No matter what life challenges she faced, nothing could take away the sparkle in her china blue eyes.
Gone but never forgotten, forever in our hearts.
Surviving family includes her brother, Joseph Whelham (Betty); daughter, Lisa Tobert; grandchildren, Kristin McKibbin and Dylan O’Connell; and a darling great-granddaughter, Maecey McKibbin; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Katherine was preceded in death by her son, Kelly McKibbin; daughter, Karla Tobert; and her parents, Joseph and Betty Whelham.
