SPD property evidence facility broken into

The Spokane Police Property Evidence Facility was broken into Friday night.

A police officer noticed that the fence to the outdoor parking area had been damaged Saturday, according to a news release. Surveillance video showed a suspect arriving on bike, cutting through the fence and then going through 16 vehicles parked in the lot. The evidence building itself was not broken into, the release said.

Police do not believe the suspect took anything from the vehicles pertinent to ongoing investigations.
