HATHORN, Jimmy Louis

Mr.

Jimmy L. Hathorn died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, March 23, 2016, in Groves, Texas.

He was born in Port Neches, Texas on August 17, 1941 to John Clinton and Jewel Hathorn.
He is preceded in death by his son Sei Ishimatsu Hathorn; parents John Clinton and Jewel Hathorn; brother Jackie Hathorn; sister Patsy Robbins; and best friend Michael Mohler.
He is survived by his daughter Laura Hathorn and granddaughter Jewel Connely of Spokane, Washington; his brother J.C. Hathorn and sister-in-law Roberta (Bobby) Hathorn of Port Neches, Texas; his companion Diana Cropper and her family, Mark Loupe, Jan Bryce and Thomas Loupe of Groves, Texas; and special friends Tammy Mohler-Hale, Judy and Ruth Solomon of Washington State.
Jimmy spent five years in the United States Marine Corps and 16 years in the United States Army, and worked for the USPS before retiring and starting a business in Idaho.

He was loved and will be missed by his many friends in the U.S. and overseas that welcomed him into their lives.
He will be buried at Tahoma National Cemetery, in Tahoma, Washington, with full military honors.
