Disability Rights Washington to hold open house celebrating new Spokane office

Disability Rights Washington, which works to protect rights of people with disabilities, is opening a new office in downtown Spokane and is holding an open house on Thursday to mark the occasion.

The open house will be from 4-7 p.m. in Suite 315 of the Peyton Building, 10 N. Post St.

Members of the public and people involved in disability issues in the region are invited to attend.

The open house will feature an art exhibit, a discussion of criminal justice issues at 5 p.m. and a screening of videos on disability rights.

The event will coincide with a continuing legal education session on representing clients with disabilities earlier in the day.

Two attorneys are going to be assigned to the Spokane office, according to a news release from Mark Stroh, executive director of the organization.

For more information and to RSVP for the open house or to register for the legal session, go to disabilityrightswa.org/open-house.
