SHELDON, Sandra Rose

Sandra Rose “Sandy” Deseve, age 70, died January 11, 2016 at her home in Lilac Plaza, Spokane.

Sandy was born January 20, 1945 at Sacred Heart Hospital to parents Rose and Robert Deseve.

She graduated from North Central High School in 1963.

Sandy was an avid member of the Eagles, Elks, VFW, and the Birthday Club.

In 1946, she was in the Spokesman Review as one of the beautiful babies of Spokane.

After settling in Spokane she became an accountant for many companies.

Always social, she enjoyed extensive traveling, golfing, snow and water skiing.


She was a Christian and a member of the Lilac Chapel.

She will be remembered for her strength of character, spirit of adventure, and love of life.


Survivors include her companion Ron Lehtola, whom she enjoyed traveling and spending time with.

Her daughter Sheila Parker of Tremonton Utah, her son Mark Huffman of Rathdrum, Idaho, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sandy’s memorial will be held at the VFW Hall, 212 S. David St., Spokane, WA, Saturday, April 23rd, 1:00pm.

Donations are accepted in her name at the Cancer Care Northwest.
Thank you to all who shared and contributed to her life.

Sandy was strong, tenacious and very loved.
