California man sentenced to 2 years in federal prison for distributing OxyContin in Spokane
A California drug dealer who goes by the street name “Batman” will serve two years in federal prison after pleading guilty to distributing illicit OxyContin in Spokane.
Jamil A. Jones, 33, was sentenced to the term Wednesday by U.S. District Court Judge William F. Nielsen. Jones was identified by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms as the source of illicit painkillers for an illegal arms dealer, Christopher Duxbury, who is also facing federal weapons charges, according to court documents.
Jones was arrested in September 2015 by federal agents in North Spokane carrying 111 illicit painkillers, according to court records. He has agreed to enter drug treatment as part of his plea and sentence.
