Viola Daubel passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016.

She was born in Sunnyside, WA to Bill and Gertrude Bronkhorst on May 19, 1928.

She was preceded in death by her husband Albert; parents, Bill and Gertrude Bronkhorst; sister, Doris Polegay and brother, Gilbert Bronkhorst.

Viola is survived by her son, Al (Jeanine) Daubel and daughter, Maxine (Rick) Pickel; granddaughters, Dawn (Tim) Robinson and Lisa Daubel; grandson, Jason (Traci) Pickel; great-granddaughters, Kelsey Robinson and Lily Womach; great-grandsons, Takoda Daubel, Elijah Robinson and Corbin Pickel; great-great-granddaughter, Maliyah Conroy.

Surviving siblings are brother Bill Bronkhorst, and sisters, Jean Layton and Beverly (Sonny) Paddock and many nieces and nephews.

Viola was a dedicated homemaker and in later years became a volunteer at the Holy Family Hospital.

She cherished spending time with her immediate and extended family, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Reaching out to neighbors and the community was never a burden for Viola and Albert.

It was just what they did and believed in.

Viola will always be loved and missed by anyone who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be at 11AM, Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the Sunrise Church of Christ, 4718 N. Ash St Spokane, WA.

A graveside service to follow at 2PM at Elk #2 cemetery.

The family requests that any donations be made to the Spokane Alzheimer’s Assoc.
