Two Post Falls dogs poisoned by antifreeze

Post Falls police are investigating the deaths of two dogs who appear to have been poisoned by antifreeze.

The dogs’ owner, who lives in the Fieldstone subdivision, reported the apparent poisoning to police Tuesday evening, Detective Dave Beck said.

The owner took the dogs to the vet after they became sick, Beck said. The vet found the dogs had ingested antifreeze.

“Based on that examination, it was agreed upon to have the dogs euthanized,” Beck said.

Police have not publicly identified any suspects and are continuing to investigate.
