Passed away in Seattle, WA on April 13, 2016.
Don, the second of three sons, was born to Dent and Margeurite Mason Davis on August 7, 1930 in Meridian, ID.
He attended Lake School in Cloverland before moving to Spokane.
He graduated from Rogers High School in 1948.
He was on the tennis team and continued to play throughout his life.
After high school, Don obtained a certificate of apprenticeship as a machinist from Spokane Trade School and Union Iron Works.
He worked as a journeyman machinist for Union Iron Works, Boeing, and Kaiser Trentwood (32 years), which was his favorite job.
Don continued to ride his Honda Goldwing well into his seventies, and after that continued fishing, playing tennis, and snowmobiling.
He also did many projects in his machine shop.
Don was the longest attending member of First Free Methodist Church, where he met his wife, Lucille Bennett, whom he married in 1950.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Denton and Charles; and son, Daniel.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille; daughters Melody (Barry) Miller, Robin Davis (Roger Salsbury), and Tina White (Dave Schmitz); daughter-in-law Beth Davis; grandchildren Carrie Davis, Casey Davis, Thomas White, Emily White, and Kelsey White; and great-granddaughter Lila Munther.
Visitation will be at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe, Spokane, WA, Wednesday, April 20, 2016, 1-5 PM.
A graveside service will be at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley, Spokane, WA, Thursday, April 21, 2016, 11 AM, followed at noon with a memorial service at First Free Methodist Church, 1725 W. Courtland.
