Obituary: Schulte, John
Age 92
April 12, 1924 - April 11, 2016
John Schulte peacefully passed away on April 11, 2016, the day before his 92nd birthday.
John was born April 12th, 1924 in Spokane and lived every day to the fullest.
He met the love of his life, Maxine, at Lewis and Clark High School.
They married on June 28, 1945 and just celebrated their 70th anniversary in 2015.
John had multiple jobs before starting his career in pharmaceutical sales.
He loved driving and would strike up a conversation everywhere he landed.
John lit up every room he entered with his huge smile and boisterous laugh.
He was always the first to offer help, especially to his family.
John’s love of boats and cars was obvious to all.
Almost every weekend was spent on the lake, fishing, pulling water skiers, or just relaxing with a beer.
John played cards every chance he could - he taught his daughters at a young age, and no matter the age or ability - everyone played to win.
He was a member of the Elks for 72 years, but also enjoyed friends at the Moose, and the Knights of Columbus.
John is survived by his wife Maxine, three daughters, Barb Wright (Dick) - Spokane, Diane Phillips - Renton, and Nancy Petersen (Jim) - Covington, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
John will be missed by so many, but if you close your eyes and pause, you’ll hear that contagious laugh and see his beautiful smile.
