MAC event on the Hope diamond canceled

A talk on the Hope diamond at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture has been canceled.

Richard Kurin of the Smithsonian Institution called off his visit to Spokane because of a family emergency, according to the MAC.

Kurin was scheduled to talk on April 21 at 6:30 p.m.
