Of Spokane, WA went to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 16th, 2016 at Spokane Veterans Nursing Home.
He had been in ill health the last few months and had battled dementia over the past few years.
David was born in Madison, CT on October 12th, 1936 to Sabatino and Alma (Lacroix) DeBurra.
He is one of
five boys: Samuel, Richard, Donald and Robert all deceased.
David served for three years in the Navy and 20 years in the Air Force.
He retired as Master Sargent.
He married Muriel Pelletier on December 29, 1965 in Eagle Lake, ME, and were celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past December.
David and his wife Muriel opened a Hallmark store in 1974 located in the Flour Mill in Spokane, WA.
They had over the past 30 years many stores across Spokane and were well known in the community for their stores.
David is survived by his wife, Muriel; his sons David and Christopher DeBurra; his daughter and son-in-law Kevin and Michelle (DeBurra) McGowan; his grandchildren David III, Matthew, Sophia and Anthony DeBurra, Tyler and Jonathan McGowan, and Christopher DeBurra.
David has many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews that live across the US.
Vigil services will be Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 7pm and will be conducted at St. Peter Catholic Church, 3520 E. 18th, Spokane, WA.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 10am and will be celebrated at St. Peter Catholic Church with a reception to follow.
The family would like to thank Dr. Cabrera of Rockwood Clinic, Dr. Kristina Swiggum, the doctors and nurses at Sacred Heart Medical Center for taking such great care of him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in David’s name to Catholic Charities of Spokane.
