Bill passed away peacefully on April 10th, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital.
Bill was born on December 30th, 1938 in Orofino, Idaho to Margaret and Milford Vigue.
Bill graduated from Central Valley High School in 1957.
He was in the Army reserves from 1956-1960.
He met his wife Sheila in 1958 and they were married in 1959.
Bill leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Sheila; his three children: Kelley (Rick) Burton, Wendy (Steve) Michelson and Marc, all of Spokane; his brother Mike (Barbara), twin brother Phil (Catherine), and sister Helen Toothaker; five grandchildren: Christine, Alicia, Melissa (Jamie), Ashlee (Andy), and Courtney; four great-grand-children: Mia, Conner, Cayden and Bailey.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Milford and Margaret, sisters Judy Herrera and Linda Crisp.
Bill co-owned Roof Trusses Inc. with his brother Phil from 1968-1981; he then worked for BMC West, set up the truss plant for Atlas Building Center and finally worked for USA Structures as a salesman before he retired in 2004.
After retiring, Bill loved spending time with his family and friends and fishing with his son Marc.
He also enjoyed sending emails and jokes to family and friends, playing card games on his computer and watching TV.
Bill was a good husband, father, brother, grandpa and friend, he will be truly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
A celebration of Bill’s life and reception will be held at the Salvation Army Chapel, located at 222 E. Indiana, Spokane, WA.
on Saturday, April 30th, 2016 at 2:00 PM.
The building is located on the corner of Indiana and Lidgerwood St.
Parking is limited there is additional street parking on Nora Avenue or Lidgerwood Street.
Bill’s family would like to say thank you for the loving care and personal attention provided by the nurses and providers at Deaconess Hospital’s ICU Unit.
