Charles Leroy Garvin, 81, of Spokane Washington passed away peacefully on Thursday April 14, 2016.


Born on August 7, 1934 in Flathead County, Montana he was the son of the late Gwynn and Dorothy Garvin (Burns).

Chuck grew up in the Flathead Valley.

His main love was fishing.

He dedicated his life to the Laborers International Union.

He was an amazing Negotiator.

He loved auctions and collecting.


He is survived by his wife Maggie Garvin of Spokane, brother James Russell Garvin of Kalispell Montana, his daughter Gwendolyn Elaine Garvin Engle Brown, his sons Charles Russell Garvin, Spokane, and James Dale Garvin, North Pole, Alaska, and various step-children.

Survivors also include grandson Chaz Garvin and granddaughters Stevie Garvin and Kelsi Garvin of Spokane Washington, grandson Matthew Garvin and granddaughter Jessica Garvin of Northpole Alaska and various step-grandchildren.


A memorial service will be held at Hennessey Funeral Home (2203 N. Division, Spokane, WA 99207) on April 30 at 11:00 am, followed by a reception at Local Laborer Union 238 located at 1330 N. Calispel St., in Spokane WA.
