FBI’s Seattle office names new director

SEATTLE – New leadership is coming to the FBI’s office in Seattle.
The agency reported that Special Agent in Charge Frank Montoya Jr. is retiring next month after 25 years with the FBI, and FBI Director James B. Comey has named Jay S. Tabb Jr. to replace him.
Tabb joined the bureau in 1997 and most recently served as deputy assistant director in the counterterrorism division at FBI headquarters.
Montoya has led the Seattle division since May 2014. He also previously led the Honolulu division and served as national counterintelligence executive in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
Montoya said he’s looking forward to trading in his gun and badge for a fishing pole and the chance to spend more time with his wife, four sons and two grandchildren.
