Opinion leaning left

People are always accusing the S-R of leaning to the left or right; Sunday’s paper (Aug. 7) convinced me that it was leaning to the left. The Opinion page was definitely projecting what-ifs about possible violence from Donald Trump if he were to lose.

Then, letters from Sally Jackson (referring to Hillary as “a strong and intelligent woman”), Laura Hegel (aligning Trump with Putin), Liz Kawakami (“Clinton a stable choice”) and James Ramsey (“Clinton will be a unifying leader”) further solidified the opinion that Hillary Clinton is the only choice for November. All the letters ignored the many incidences in Hillary Clinton’s life that show a blatant disregard for truth, honesty and respect for law. She has manipulated people throughout her career.

As for Cathy McMorris Rodgers supporting Trump, common sense says she would not be able to give her vote to the liberal agenda of the Democratic Party, nor can I. I believe in empowerment to enrich people’s lives, not stripping one’s self-esteem and worth by enabling, which is what the handout philosophy of the liberals supports. Trump will have my vote.
