First look: EWU vs. WSU
Mon., Aug. 29, 2016
What is it: Washington State opens the season against Eastern Washington.
Where is it: Martin Stadium on the Washington State campus in Pullman.
When is it: The teams will kick off at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3.
Where can I watch it: On the Pac-12 Network and Pac-12 Washington.
What if I like to listen: You can listen to the broadcast on KXLY 920 on the AM dial, the WSU GameDay smartphone app, or TuneIn.com/WSU. The EWU broadcast is 700-AM ESPN.
Why WSU will win: As an FBS team, the Cougars have more resources, more scholarships to offer and simply more talent than the FCS Eagles.
Why WSU should worry: EWU’s Cooper Kupp is probably the best wide receiver WSU will face all season.
What happened last time: The Cougars beat the Eagles 24-20 in Pullman in their second game of the 2012 season to give Mike Leach his first win as Washington State’s head coach.
