Santa plans visits to Fire District 9

Santa Claus will be visiting neighborhoods in Fire District 9 with the help of firefighters starting Friday. Fire District personnel will be collecting nonperishable food items for the Mead Food Bank.

Here’s a look at Santa’s plans:

Friday: Beginning at 6 p.m., Santa and his firefighter helpers will visit the Hutton Settlement and then go to the Fraser Estates neighborhood until 9 p.m.

Saturday: Open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Fire Station 94, 7017 N. Jensen Road. Another open house will be from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fire Station 98, 6606 N. Regal St. Stop by for goodies and a picture with Santa.

Dec. 15: Open house from 5 to 8 p.m. at Station 99, 9105 N. Whitehouse St.

Dec. 16: From 5 to 9 p.m., Santa will visit the Linwood neighborhood, Monroe to Division streets. Starting at 5:30 p.m., he’ll go from Station 97 to Inch, down Charles to Highland, back to Katie and Maybob, to Birdie, to Bluegrass, to the end of Westshore, back past Station 97, down Charles to Southbank, Waterview and Westlake. From 6 to 8 p.m., Santa will visit the Nine Mile area, Charles to Hedin, then to Tormey and in between.

Dec. 17: Open house from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., at Fire Station 91, 616 W. Hastings Road. From 4:30-9 p.m. he’ll be in the Linwood neighborhood, from Monroe to Cedar. Beginning at 6 p.m., Santa will visit the Seven Mile/Golf Course neighborhoods. Open house from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fire Station 96, 11019 N. Forker Road in the Foothills.

Dec. 18: From 4:30 to 9 p.m. Santa will visit Five Mile Prairie, north of Strong and west of Five Mile Road, including the Falcon Ridge, Prairie Breeze and Granger Terrace neighborhoods.

Dec. 19: Open house from 5 to 8 p.m. at Fire Station 92, 3801 E. Farwell Road. From 5 to 9 p.m. Santa will visit Five Mile Prairie north of Johannsen and east of Five Mile Road, including the Jesse’s Bluff and Northview Estates neighborhoods.
