Redshirt sophomore Jeremy Jones made his first appearance in a Gonzaga uniform following a high-ankle sprain suffered during the closed-door preseason scrimmage against Baylor.
Making his GU debut during the last two minutes of the game, fellow Gonzaga players were happy to see their teammate back on the court.
“It’s awesome. He’s been working hard,” GU’s Johnathan Williams said. “He’s my roommate and it’s a blessing to see my roommate out there doing good things.”
Jones redshirted last season after transferring from Rice. While at Rice, Jones started two games his freshman year as a small forward and also was a redshirt quarterback on the football team.
