Spokane Valley deputies investigating armed robbery at Subway restaurant
Spokane Valley deputies are searching for a man who robbed a Subway cashier at gunpoint Thursday afternoon.
The man was caught on surveillance footage walking into the Subway restaurant at 2114 N. Pines Road and displaying a black handgun at about 2:30 p.m. He demanded money from the till, and the cashier put the drawer on the counter allowing the robber to grab an undisclosed amount in cash.
The robber wore a gray ski mask and gloves, blue jeans, dark-colored shoes, and a heavy blue or black winter coat with white portions of fabric under the armpits. According to a news release, the cashier told deputies the robber appeared to be an older white man, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, with wrinkles around his eyes.
