Quest Aircraft CEO set to retire
Samuel Hill plans to retire next month as CEO of Quest Aircraft Company in Sandpoint. A search for a successor is underway.
“This is a good time for me to step aside,” Hill said Tuesday in a news release. “The company is in good shape financially and demand for the Kodiak has grown significantly since 2013.”
Hill, an aviation veteran formerly with Honda Aircraft Company, joined Quest in late 2012. He will remain on as an adviser to the company and a member of the board of directors. He also will be involved in other entities of Setouchi Holdings, Quest’s parent company.
Quest makes the Kodiak, a 10-place single-engine turboprop airplane designed for short takeoff and landing as well as float capability. The company was established in 2001. Since 2012, Kodiak deliveries have risen steadily. The aircraft has received 23 certifications covering 33 countries.
