Spokane County deputies searching for domestic violence suspect

Authorities are searching for a 32-year-old man who allegedly strangled a woman until she lost consciousness at a residence in Spokane Valley.

Ian A. Anderson is wanted on charges of second-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment. In a news release, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said Anderson “turned extremely violent” after an argument with the woman on Dec. 2.

The victim received medical attention and was referred to domestic violence resources, the news release said. Authorities believe Anderson, who has a history of violence, is still in Spokane County or North Idaho.

The Sheriff’s Office urged anyone with information about Anderson to call 911.
