Trump blindly trusted

In reaction to Gary Crooks’ “Covering Trump poses challenges” (Dec. 4), I recommend reading carefully the quote by Corey Lewandowski: “… people understand” and “you don’t have all the facts.” If a statement is something we want to hear, all of us are likely to “understand” and the urge to check the facts is minimal. This is a matter of discipline.

For people who blindly trust Trump, it makes no difference whether he holds press conferences, they will still interpret them in the line of their belief. The press conferences are important for people who analyze the dialogue and can be critical even toward Donald Trump. I am not sure it is Trump’s priority to please this segment of the population.
