Darlene was born in Spokane, WA on April 13, 1934 to Leo and Theresa Gibbs (Hansmier).

She was very proud of her Catholic upbringing.
She worked as a legal secretary for over twenty years for Hennessey and Curran Law Firm.
She retired at age 50 to fulfill a dream of Larry’s to live on a boat on the West side.
After one year they moved back to Spokane and eventually bought a home in Coeur d’Alene on the river right next to the Spokane Yacht Club, in which they were very much involved for many years.
In their younger years while raising a family they liked to spend their time boating and camping.
Darlene loved the family, water, and sunshine!
Darlene also loved her home and was a great homemaker.
She enjoyed organizing her home and helping her family do theirs.
When she would come with paint brush in hand and work clothes to any of our houses we would be thrilled!
Darlene loved Christmas, and made all holidays special for the family.
We all have very special memories because of “mom”.
She loved music, dancing, and sang like a songbird!
She liked shopping, garage sales, and doing things with Debbie and the rest of the family.
