It is with great sadness that the family of Gerry Schuh is announcing his peaceful passing on February 8, 2016, after a long struggle with his health and dementia.
He was born January 28, 1940 to Oscar and Anna Schuh in Odessa, WA.
; he was the second of seven children.
Gerry also served in the Army for four years.
He was a great outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and tend to his lovely garden of both vegetables and beautiful flowers, which he often saw passerby’s slow to enjoy.
Also, Gerry was a wonder husband and loving father.
He is preceded in death by his wife Judy, parents Oscar and Anna, and his sister, Virginia.
He is survived by his children; Cindy Connolly (Phil), Eric (Kelly) and Chris (Renne); siblings, Rosie, Freidia, Pat, Barbara and Fred; 11 grandchildren (and their spouses) and 10 great-grand- children, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2016, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM at Hennessey Funeral Home, Spokane, WA.
Funeral Services will be held at Hennessey Funeral Home, 1315 N. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 11, 2016 with graveside services to follow at Quincy Cemetery (Washington) at 3:00 PM the same day.
Because Gerry was such an avid outdoorsman we would like, in lieu of flowers, for donations be made to Inland NW Wildlife Council (6116 N. Market Street, Spokane, WA 99208 or to the Dementia Foundation, in hopes that someday dementia will no longer take the ones we love.
Please visit Gerry’s online memorial to leave a message of condolence for our family.
