CLAYTON, James G.

Passed away February 9, 2016 at his home in Ford, Washington.

James was born on April 7, 1937 in Reardan, Washington to Ernest and Jessie Clayton.

James graduated from Reardan High School in 1955 where he was a four year letterman in football, basketball, and was his senior class president.

James married Barbara Godwin in Spokane, Washington on October 10, 1959.

James is survived by his wife Barbara; three children: Chris Clayton, Lorri (Tom) Wilkinson, and Doug (RuthAnn) Clayton; eight grandchildren and four great-grand- children, and a sister, Shirley (Glen) Anyan, along with several nieces and nephews.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Jessie; a brother, Don Clayton, and a sister, Julie Malia.

James was a former Reardan Lions Club member.

He enjoyed the outdoors, coffee with his friends; he had a quick witted sense of humor, and was a perfectionist.

He loved to shop every aisle at the grocery stores.

He enjoyed antique toy collecting.

James’ family was most important to him.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Reardan Presbyterian Church.
