Obituary: Delaney, Louise
Age 89
DELANEY, Louise
(Age 89)
Our beloved Mom and Nana passed away peacefully on February 12th having lived a full life for almost 90 years.
While we will deeply miss her genuine concern and love for each of us, we are forever grateful for the years we had with her and especially grateful that she has now completed the journey from this temporal world to her eternal home with the Lord and loved ones.
Mom was part of the “greatest generation.”
She lived life large growing up, loved her high school friends, craved the chance to dance the jitterbug, and really loved her Mom.
She fell in love with one of her dance partners, Bill Delaney, her husband of 30 years until his sudden death in 1978.
Her life took on a whole new perspective, one she devoted herself to her entire life, when her children (Bobby and Debby) were born.
She was blessed to see them grow up, have friends, fall in love, have children, and be a blessing to her and others.
For many years until her retirement, she worked at Fidelity Savings Bank and was always grateful for her work friends.
She and Dad were also part of “The Sunday Pals” bowling group for years, a group of friends for a lifetime and who knew how to have a good time together!
Mom is survived by the loves of her life, her children Bob (Melanie) and Debby (Don); her grandchildren Ben, Meghan and Matthew and Travis, Brian and Jenny; her great-grandchildren Amia and Myles, Lauryn, Macy, and Kaiya, Sydney and Donavan, Paxton and Everett, and Gracie.
Mom’s last few years were spent at Riverview Assisted Living.
Our Mom, along with our families, want to thank the Riverview Staff for their genuine love and care.
On February 16, 2016 at 1 pm, the family will host a brief memorial service at Hennessey Funeral Home on Division Street to honor Mom.
Mom had a soft heart for disadvantaged young people.
Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to Peak 7 Adventures or Cup of Cool Water, both of Spokane.
