NESBITT, Sherman Lindy
(Age 88)

Sherman Lindy Nesbitt was born in Goldberg, Idaho and grew up with his four brothers and three sisters on a farm in Star, Idaho.

He graduated from Star High School in 1945 and attended the University of Idaho where he graduated in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, Dairy Science.

He was the first of his family to attend college.
He married Virginia G. Scheuffele in May 1953 and had four sons.

They were married for 44 years when Virginia passed away in 1997.

Sherman was active in the Idaho Holstein Association during his farming days.

He was a recognized Livestock Judge in Southern Idaho and Eastern Oregon.

He was a 4H Leader and taught Fitting and Showing and Judging to 4H members.

Later he was the Chairman of the Canyon County Fair Board and the Sheep Superintendent for the Western Idaho Fair.
Sherman was also a Korean War Veteran, a lifetime member of the Mount Mariah Masonic Lodge in Caldwell, Idaho and a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reardan, Washington.
He is survived by two sisters, Lilly Young - Meridian, ID and Bonnie Johnston - Boise, ID; three sons: Stephen - West Palm Beach, FL, Thomas - Reardan, WA, and Glen - Palm Springs, CA.

He had four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Sherman will be interred at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.
