Passed away peacefully in her sleep at home with family near.
Born March 28, 1941 in Spokane, WA to Carl and Opal Harms.
Lived in Spokane her entire life attending Longfellow Grade School and Rogers High School, graduating in the class of 1959.
Very active in church and school activities, including choir, triple trio, Pirettes, and student government.
Attended Seattle Pacific University.
Married Rogers HS classmate, Jerry Schelling on June 10, 1961 and celebrated 54 anniversaries.
Worked in medical offices - bookkeeping and office manager positions - for over 40 years making many fond memories and dear friends as a result.
Very active in church for many years singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, directing plays, holding many offices including church treasurer.
Always supported her family (children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc.)
and friends in all of their activities.
Loved following and “managing” via TV, her special sports teams - Mariners, Seahawks, WSU Cougars and Gonzaga Basketball.
Survived by her husband, Jerry; son, Jeffrey Schelling; daughter, Jill Henry; six grandchildren, four great-grand- children, brother Gary (Kay) Harms.
Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Stanley Harms.
No service as per her request.
Ashes interred at Fairmount Memorial Gardens on Cheney-Spokane Rd.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held at First Church of the Nazarene at 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd., Spokane, WA 99218 on Friday, February 19th from 3-5pm.
In lieu of flowers, she requested that any donation be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship, PO Box 141646, Spokane, WA 99214.
