Police investigating suspicious death in Spokane Valley

Major Crimes detectives are investigating a suspicious death in Spokane Valley after a man’s body was found Thursday morning.

The man was found in an apartment in the 12700 block of East Mansfield Avenue just east of Pines Road around 9 a.m. Thursday, said Spokane Valley Police Department spokesman Deputy Mark Gregory.

Detectives were on scene all day. “They’re trying to figure out what exactly happened,” Gregory said.

The man’s identity and cause of death will be released by the Spokane County medical examiner after an autopsy.
