DIONNE, Helen Ann (Wolff)
Helen Ann Dionne passed away February 14, 2016 in Spokane.
She was born November 26, 1930 in Spokane to Eleanora and James Wolff.
Helen grad- uated from North Central High School in 1949.
Helen met her husband Herb while ice skating at Manito Park, and they were married in August of 1949.
They shared a love of hockey and “good skating.”
Helen adored Gretzky.
Helen worked as a grocery cashier for many years.
Herb and Helen operated their bakery “Danish Kitchen” for seven years.
Herb and Helen also owned and operated an antiques and collectibles shop in the Garland district for several years.
She played cards with her friends, enjoyed water gardens, and helped Herb grow prize-winning dahlias.
She always had arts and crafts projects in the works.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Herb in 2004.
Survivors include: one son, Dennis (Wilma) Dionne, Moscow, ID; and four daughters; Sandy Griffin of Lacey, Michele Davis (Lisa) of Bremerton, Christine Guenther (Brad) of Pullman, and Catherine Sly (Doug) of Moses Lake.
She also is survived by her sister, Jean Moore (Bob) of Spokane Valley; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and four great nieces and three great-nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 20th, 2016 at Hennessey Funeral Home (2203 N. Division).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SCRAPS (6815 E. Trent, Spokane Valley, WA 99212) in memory of Helen and Herb Dionne.
