COOK, William Oliver “Bill”
(Age 92)

Bill was born February 8, 1923 in Jamestown, ND and was the third eldest of eight brothers and sisters.

He passed away peacefully on January 25, 2016.

The Cook family moved to Tacoma, WA in 1943.

Bill enlisted in the Army Air Force in April 1943 and became a Flight Officer.
In 1944, Bill married Ethel Julia Lintvet and they lived in Spokane, WA for many years and they had three children: Allan, Gale and Cheryl.

Bill worked for many years as Claims Manager for Consolidated Freightways and in 1971 he was appointed Terminal Manager for Ringsby United.

Bill moved to Seattle in 1974 where he became Sales Manager for Arkansas Best Motor Freight.

Bill was proud to be accepted into the Ancient Scottish Rite of Free Masons in 1976.
In 1976, Bill married Catherine Ida MacDonald.

They enjoyed many wonderful years together traveling to Europe, Hawaii, and vacationing at Mason Lake, WA and Sun City West, AZ.

In 1995, Bill and Catherine moved to Maple Valley, WA.
Bill is predeceased by his wife Ethel in 1971; his daughter Cheryl in 2008; his wife Catherine in 2014; and brothers and sisters: Mary (1972), Richard (1990), Judy (2002), Archie (2008) and Herb (2015).
Bill is survived by his sons Allan Cook and Gale Cook; sisters Edith Cropp and Sylvia Hansen (Carner); granddaughter Julia LeRoy (Gene); grandson Chad Solsvik (Heather); great-granddaughter Sarah LeRoy; and many nieces and nephews.

He will be cherished and greatly missed by all.
There will be a military funeral service at Tahoma National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. February 22, 2016 followed by a reception at Lake Wilderness Country Club.
